Orhan Kemal's ‘Baba Evi' meets Israeli bookworms

 

 
 
 
Renowned Turkish author Orhan Kemal's novel "Baba Evi" (My Father's House) has been published in Israel as part of the Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry's long-running literary its TEDA translation project, the Anatolia news agency reported.

 

The prolific author, whose real name was Mehmet Raşit Öğütçü, wrote "Baba Evi" in 1949. The book, translated into Hebrew by Galia Vurgan, was published in Israel by the Sifriat Maariv publishing house.
